Welcome

The Shenandoah Valley District is one of 47 Soil and Water Conservation Districts in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley District was founded in 1940 and served Augusta, Page, and Rockingham Counties and the Cities of Harrisonburg, Staunton, and Waynesboro. In 1975, the Headwaters District was created and began serving Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro. The Shenandoah Valley District serves the citizens of Page and Rockingham Counties and the City of Harrisonburg. The District is governed by a board of directors formed of local citizens who are either elected or appointed and serve voluntarily.

Upcoming Board Meeting

District Board meetings are on the first Thursday of each month. Our next board meeting is March 1, 2012 at 9:30 am at the Rockingham County Virginia Cooperative Extension Office in Harrisonburg

  

2012 Farm & Conservation Program Update Meetings

The Page County meeting will be held on February 6 at 7:00 pm at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office in Stanley. The Rockingham County Meeting will be held on February 8 at 7:00 pm at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office in Harrisonburg. For more information please view the flyer for the meetings.

2012 Tree and Shrub Sale
